Arboricultural Impact Assessment

Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) produced by Consultancy department for development proposals

In August 2010 Devon Tree Services Consultancy department produced an Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) for development proposals for 49 residential units on a one hectare site on behalf of Millwood Homes (Devon) Ltd, which contained numerous important trees, particularly old Oak trees.

From the AIA we produced a bespoke Arboricultural Method Statement for the installation of a non excavation porous surfaced car parking bay close to some of the Oaks, and a Tree Protection Plan (TPP) to enable construction in the vicinity of trees throughout the site.

As a result it was demonstrated to the Local Planning Authority that the trees were not at risk due to the proposals, and Millwood Homes were awarded planning consent for the development.

Arboricultural Impact Assessment
The timely delivery of information, professional advice and ongoing open dialog provided by DTS has been of invaluable assistance throughout the evolution of the scheme design and subsequent successful promotion through the planning process. – Many thanks.
